NESTEC, Inc. is pleased to share our participation with the propane division of Star Gas to provide families in our area with gifts for Christmas. This is our second year of participation, and it just keeps becoming more rewarding.
This program allowed us to help 22 children and 19 families with various needed items along with toys on their wish lists. The ages of the children ranged from 4 to 16 years old. We adopted 2 single-mother families and the rest of the children were taken off of an elementary giving tree.
With the money we collected and the thrifty shopping that was done on Veterans Day and Black Friday, we were able to purchase the following items deemed as necessary:
13 heavy winter coats- 3 pairs of sneakers: Nike, Fila and Under Armour
- Full Size comforter and sheet set
- Queen Size comforter and sheet set
- 2 King Size Fleece Blankets
- 2 pairs of winter boots
- 3 pairs of jeans
- A variety of clothing from Nike and Justice
- Footed & regular pajamas
- Under garments
- Socks
- 2 zip up fleece jackets
